Often referred to as the best place to stay on the Alaska Highway, the Northern Rockies Lodge is the newest and most impressive hotel in the Liard River (hot springs), Toad River and Muncho Lake region. We are located on Mile 462 of the historic Alaska Highway on the shores of beautiful Muncho Lake. As a remote lodge, we pride ourselves in maintaining a high level of service for our guests in the middle of the untouched wilderness of Muncho Lake. Our facilities include a hotel, dining room and lounge, cabins, lakeshore chalets, RV Park, gas station, picnic areas, sauna, playground, floatplane dock, boat ramp and more. All of our facilities are available for our guests including Wifi. We are proud to be able to provide our guests with most of the modern comforts despite being so remote. The Northern Rockies Lodge operates year round without any government subsidies and we were able to build over the last 3+ decades a self-sufficient village in the wilderness for you: We generate our own power, our own water and sewage systems. A single artist gallery on one of Canada's Gulf Islands. Really an Art Lovers Getaway. Jill travels and paints in various parts of the world. She has many collections on her website and over 300 paintings currently in print. Jill has had galleries of her own for more than 30 years. Her personal gallery on Salt Spring Island is definitely the best place to view her art plus have a chance to meet in person. She paints primarily in watercolour always vibrant and uplifting. The gallery is open daily in the summer and by appointment the rest of the year.

Darts Hill Garden Park spans 22.5 acres of beautifully cultivated parkland in South Surrey, anchored by the original 7.5-acre garden lovingly developed by Edwin and Francisca Darts. This renowned garden is a testament to their pioneering spirit, horticultural curiosity, and unwavering dedication to working the land.

We offer 10 log lakeside cabins. And over 20 campsites all located on Fishpot Lake. The main lodge has a licensed resterant, small convienence store and sells basic fishing and hunting supplies and tags. We have a swim dock with diving board and can boast nice swimming through the summer months. We rent boats with electric motors and a canoe as well for touring around the lake. We also have a boat launch, but we do have a motor boat restriction size of 10 horsepower or less gas motors. We have a covered barbeque area and a playground for children as well.
