Chims Cabins is located on the west side of Port Alberni along Highway 4, just a 57 minute drive from the city centre and event venues. Ideal for travelers heading to Tofino, visiting for work, or couples seeking quiet comfort. We offer six (6) self-contained cabins with private entrances, full kitchens, and mountain views. Cabins feature queen beds or a combination of queen and double beds, with pull-out couches and roll-up cots available in select units. Amenities include free Rogers Business Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and one dedicated parking spot per unit (extra parking available upon request). Our eco-conscious property offers on-site garbage, recycling, and food waste disposal. Rates are based on double occupancy (2 guests sharing a queen bed) or number of beds provided. $25 + tax per night applies for each extra guest using the pull-out or cot. Family-owned and operated, Chims Cabins offers the comforts of home in a peaceful setting.

Facilities: 26 campsites, public beach and day-use area, pit toilets, water hand pump. There is a 10hp boating restriction on the lake. Location: 12 km from Highway 3 east of Greenwood. Jewel Lake is a popular rustic campground that attracts fishermen, campers, and people looking to explore the great outdoors. It is common to spot anglers fly-fishing for rainbow trout on this scenic 3 km long lake. This truly unique provincial park offers stunning views in a wilderness setting. Campsites are often available for last-minute campers in peak months. Open from the May Long Weekend through the second weekend in September.

After a brief stop at the Resort Station you can learn more about Kimberley as you continue back to the Downtown Station. KUMR is open from the Victoria Day Holiday in May until Labour Day in September.

Sea otter Enhydra Lutris and whale watching tours in Esperanza Inlet on the west coast of north Vancouver Island. Boat tours last about 5 hours with shore break. The price of $600 is per boat charter; there is a 12 person limit. Accommodation & meal packages available. Sea otters can be viewed year round, Humpback whales usually show up late spring to fall. Black bears can be spotted after April.

Tandem flights range in time from 8 minutes to over an hour, depending on the conditions. The flight park has 2 launch sites and a 2000' grass runway and 2 smaller taxiways as well as a Pilot's Lounge, an outdoor covered deck where you can relax after your flight and watch others "commit acts of aviation"! We are open from late April to mid-October, weather permitting.
