The Big Creek Lodge was established in 1985, in the heart of the Chilcotin Country, a remote region in British Columbia, Canada. Under new management since 2019, Cindy is excited to share an authentic Wild West experience with new and familiar faces! The lodge is located approx. 2-hrs drive from Williams Lake Airport. Transfer is available no rental car needed! We offer a full program of activities, including trail riding, ATV & Kayak Rental plus excellent fishing, wilderness hiking, lariat throwing and much more. When going for a trail ride, we will ensure the best fit! All of the rooms and cabins at Big Creek Lodge have earned a Canada Selected Four Star Rating. The accommodation is in comfortable lodge rooms or private cabins, all with floor heating, hair dryer, private facilities and some with balcony/terrace. Interact, pet and hold the small critters in the petting pen. Feed from your animal goodie bag, say hello to the talking horse, sitting micro pig who makes funny faces, and walking goat. Macaloney's Island Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery is a producer of premium malt whiskies and superb craft beers. Our basic tour lasts 45 mins and begins in our visitors centre and flows the way the spirits go, past the grist mill where you can taste some of the various strains of malted & un- malted barley, or other cereals that we as a craft brewer as well as a distiller get to play and experiment with. Onward into the heart of the Brew & Still house through the smells of the mash tun & wash backs, past the gleaming swan necked Stills and then up into the warehouse and bottling hall before returning back to the visitors centre for a wee dram of two of the whiskies in our Macaloney Cask Selection series along with three of our craft beers. Our vessels are heated, covered high speed cabin cruisers, with an onboard washrooms, to keep you warm and dry on those WET COAST days! A recently renovated community museum, telling the stories of the Southern Carrier First Nations and the peoples who have settled in the Cariboo in the last 250 years. Listen to stories of Chinese and First Nations Elders at our video stations and meet the residents of the early 20th century through the remarkable portraits of CD. Hoy and C.S. Wing. Participate in scavenger hunts and hands on activities. Keep the memory of your visit alive with a souvenir from our gift shop. We have a good selection of history books, clothing, toys, jewelry and housewares. During the Winter Season ( October to April) the museum is only open on Saturday or by appointment.

In September 2019, Beaufort became the first organically certified vineyard on Vancouver Island. From one small berry stand, Maan Farms has grown into a place with something for everyone, whether you want to sample the fresh berries, fruits and vegetables, enjoy the delicious ice cream and jam, make some new friends in the critter corral, get lost in the fall corn maze, enjoy a free wine tasting, whiz by on the zip-line or simply stop by for a visit in the family picnic area. Maan Farms still grows the juiciest red strawberries in the Fraser Valley, and we are always happy to greet everyone who stops by, whether they are a familiar face or a first time visitor.
