We fish two different premiere locations. Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) located offshore in the North Pacific and Port Hardy (Vancouver Island). Although, both locations are considered a rain forests and are known for culture, beauty and marine life, they are both arguably known best for their legendary bounties of salmon & halibut. A short walk from downtown Nelson we are located on Kootenay Lake at the Prestige Marina. You can paddle right from our office. We have a convenient launching dock and paddles and life jackets are included with each rental. There is no more convenient place to get on the water!

Painted Boat Resort & Marina is the premier resort on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada. Located two hours from Vancouver via BC Ferries from Horseshoe Bay and Highway 1, the Resort is also accessible by seaplane. Featuring 31 west-coast inspired, one-bed/two-bed & two-bed loft waterfront villas. Each villa has a gourmet, fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, patio and barbecue. All villas have waterfront views. Some dog friendly villas are available, and need to be reserved by calling Guest Services at the time of booking accommodation. We fish out of Tahsis inlet were we have the option of going out Nootka Sound or Esperenza sound. I have been fishing the west coast from Kenai, Alaska to Victoria, BC since 1978. The fishing in this area is the best all around fishing bar none on the west coast. The salmon highway that we regularly fish is known by every guide on the west coast. Salmon, Halibut and bottom fish.
