The Nakusp Hotspring Cedar Chalets and Campground are a great base camp for all of your kootenay adventures. Pitch a tent in our creekside campground, or spend the night in one of our cozy chalets!

This seasonal government-run campground on the ocean offers affordable RV and tent camping in nature with fabulous panoramic seascape views. It features a long sandy beach, bird watching, nature events, a variety of walking trails, including a user-friendly loop trail. It is close to the ferry, airport, downtown Victoria and the Lochside Regional Trail. The campground has 18 beach front RV sites, 5 treed tent trailer sites and 24 treed tent sites, and all campsites are self-contained. Sites are reservable online only, up to 30 days in advance; no first-come first-serve. All sites $25/night; $10 for each additional vehicle. Payable online by Visa or Mastercard. Firewood is available for sale from the Park Operator. Reservations are recommended during peak season, however last-minute campers may be able to find a spot in July and August. Reservations for this park are accepted for arrival dates from mid-May Labour Day. Elk Falls is open year-round (Winter Camping $11/night).

Once a church, our log lodge is perched on a knoll on the south shore overlooking the Johnstone Strait. The beach is just steps away. Constructed entirely of cedar, the Great Room (the former worship room) of this magnificent building features vaulted 14 cedar ceilings, four conversation nooks and a dining room with ocean and mountain views. Indigenous art hangs on our walls, and books of many variations grace our library. Outside is a wrap around sundeck. The lodge is the perfect place to take in the ocean, inhale the cedar aroma and loose yourself in the serene vibe of this place. In a park-like setting, all sites are either 30 or 50 amp and also have water, sewer and cable connections. For your convenience wifi is available along with Shaw Go.
