Vancouvers old houses and the stories of the people who built and lived in them are my passion. My History Walks through Vancouvers heritage neighbourhoods: the East End/Strathcona, West End, Mount Pleasant, Grandview & Cedar Cottage, are a culmination of over two decades working as a house genealogist. During that time I produced in-depth histories of over 800 Vancouver houses. People call me the House Whisperer. Ocean Resort, located just south of Campbell River, is located on the ocean, on the east coast of beautiful Vancouver Island, with easy access from Mt. Sasquatch Mountain Resort is a small ski resort located in the Douglas Ranges near Harrison Lake, British Columbia, Canada, between the towns of Mission and Agassiz. Average annual snowfall at Hemlock Valley is 30-35 ft more than most other areas in Canada. The vertical drop is 396 m (1,300 ft) from a summit elevation of 1,371 m (4,500 ft) to a base elevation of 975m (3,300 ft). The area comprises 121 hectares (300 acres) and has 36 runs, the longest of which is 1.4 miles (2.3 km). The area has four lifts - one quad chair, one triple chair, one double chair and a beginner carpet. The resort features night skiing and tubing as well as 13 kilometres of trails for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing.

Our hostel is in downtown Port Hardy just steps from the beach. We have wonderful ocean views, a great lounge room with table tennis, and shuffleboard. We have both dorm beds, private rooms and family rooms available. Our staff is friendly and knowledgeable whether it is where to eat, which trail to hike or where the local eagles nest is we are happy to help.
