Based out of Nakusp, BC and our primary service area are the Okanagan and Kootenay Regions. We also provide experiences across the province and beyond. This building is truly special. It is one of only a few commercial buildings in BC from this era with intact interior elements. It contains all of the counters, shelving, gas lights, string holders, paper dispensers, as well as a cash register, weigh scale, coffee grinder, cheese wheel and many other items that were used in the operation of the store. The museum aslo contains information on Ainsworth's rich history in the region. Stepping into this store is truly like stepping back in time. The museum also hosts an artisan gift shop filled with beautiful handmade goods as well as an amazing selection of crystals, gemstones, singing bowls, leather goods, and eco friendly Canadian made clothing.

Castlegar Sculpturewalk is an annual exhibition of outdoor sculptures, located on a pleasant walking tour in downtown Castlegar. Viewers are encouraged to vote for their favourite sculpture via ballot - the winner of the People's Choice award is purchased by the City for the permanent collections. All of the artworks are available for sale or lease. Ballots/maps are located in red ballot boxes along the route (the start of the route is at the Kootenay Market (635 Columbia Avenue), though you can begin the walk from anywhere. Ballots/maps are also available at the Castlegar Chamber of Commerce, City Hall, or the Kootenay Gallery.

Facilities: 14 campsites, day-use area, public beach, rustic picnic cabin, water hand pump. Location: 26 km west of Castelgar on Highway 3. An easily-accessible, roadside park with a sub-alpine lake, Nancy Greene Provincial Park is a welcoming and convenient site for day-users and campers. The park is a popular overnight stop for RVer's and also provides day-use for local residents wishing to escape the summer heat of the valley. It's picturesque lake makes it a great spot to enjoy fishing, picnicking, walking, swimming, and nordic skiing in the winter. Grizzly Bear sightings are common in Spring and early Summer. Open from May 15 through the last weekend in September.

Summit Lake Ski Area is a small community-operated ski hill located at the lake and community of the same name, 16km east of Nakusp, British Columbia, Canada.
