Ridge Rotors is a small helicopter company that has been operating in Tumbler Ridge since 2004. Four unique accommodations in Wells, the Mountain Thyme Getaways include a restored 1 and 1/2 story wooden clap-board house typical of the mine workers of the 1930s and 40s. Located at the very end of a Forest Service Road, it provides the only access to remote Kyuquot Sound. This traditional territory of the Ka:'yu:'k't'h'/Che:k'tles7et'h' First Nations is the jumping off point to some the most spectacular and breathtaking scenery on the west side of Vancouver Island. Home to 10 Provincial Parks and Ecological Reserves, it provides unlimited access to both fresh and saltwater fishing, kayaking, wildlife viewing and exploration of some of the few old growth forests left in BC.
