Rocky Mountain Buffalo Ranch & Guest Cottage ~ Buffalo Tours. A working Buffalo & Guest Ranch. We offer educational buffalo tours daily May thru September. The owner, Leo Downey, does one tour every morning May 15th thru September, starting at 10:15 a.m. (Alberta Time )This includes the native fire making demonstration. We also offer year round accommodations in our fully furnished guest cottage and our peaceful cabin by the creek,, Wagon in the Woods and Buffalero's Bunkhouse in the Barn. Make yourself at home, see buffalo in their natural social order, learn about them first hand, wander the ranch and our pristine river frontage on the beautiful Blaeberry River.

Guests can take advantage of a flightseeing tour and have a birds' eye view of Hunlen Falls, Rainbow Mountains and the Monarch Icefields. The rare white pelican, bald eagles, loons and river otters are just some of the diverse species that you will find locally. A short, 2 hour drive down the famous Hill, or Freedom Highway, is the Bella Coola Valley and the Great Bear Rainforest. Don't forget your camera as you transition from pine plateau to coastal rainforest, as there will be many photo opportunities along the way including grizzly bears and snow capped mountains. This diverse region is a must on your bucket list & we would love to be your hosts.
Axe and Grind
We are Victorias best (and only) urban axe throwing range! Were bringing this quintessentially Canadian backyard sport indoors so you can experience something new with friends. Before each session, our experienced staff will teach you how to throw axe in a safe and fun environment, paving the way for a bit of competition amongst friends.
