Welcome to Skmana Ski and Snowshoe Club. Our ski and snowshoe club offers 18 kms of track set classic ski trials and a generous offering of designated snow shoe trails. All are well marked and cover a very wide range of natural forest, lakes and streams. Families, social groups and individual skiers and snowshoers will all find the trails very user friendly. Historic Joy Kogawa House is the childhood home of Canadian author Joy Kogawa. Joy and her family lived in the house until 1942, when they were sent to an internment camp along with thousands of other Canadians of Japanese descent. Now used as a site for author residencies and literary events, the house stands as a historical reminder of the internment experience of Japanese Canadians during WW2.

The resort is beautifully landscaped with rose gardens and lush greenery. During your stay you may see playful Otters and Seals, Hummingbirds, Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, and maybe even Orcas swimming through the channel. Time can be spent beachcombing, checking out the starfish, kayaking, fishing and crabbing, or just lazing in and around the heated pool and hot tub. The property has a playground for the kids, a beach-side fire pit, bar-b-que patios as well as a private tennis court.
