Cottonwood House is one of the last remaining roadhouses in British Columbia. With over 75 years of Boyd family legacy, a visit to this historic site will allow you to experience the rich history of the Cariboo region first hand. Cottonwood House was built in 1864 offering accommodation, meals, hardware and provisions to many on their journey along the Cariboo Wagon Road to Barkerville or Quesnel. Mabel Lake Golf Course is a 9 hole golf course, designed and built by Les Furber. Our chalet style clubhouse features a fully licensed restaurant & patio, pro shop, plus banquet and meeting facilities. We also offer a variety of accommodation from luxury homes to beachfront cabins and lake view condos. Amenities include free wifi, satellite tv, swimming pool, hot tub, BBQ, etc. And if you're a pilot, we have a 2900' grass landing strip for your convenience. Everything is only a 5 minute walk away at Mabel Lake: the golf course, vacation rentals, airstrip, marina, campground, beaches, general store and liquor store.
