Just steps outside sits a tiny cabin with your own indoor heated bathroom and shower, plus an outdoor hot water shower and vintage bathtub built for two. The location is totally private with over an acre of land to yourselves. You'll also have exclusive use of a wood burning fire pit, propane fire bowl, picnic table, hammock and charcoal BBQ. The property borders the 450 hectare Bowen Island Eco Reserve, a natural wonder rich in wildlife. River Valley Ranch lies in an idyllic valley with fertile fields and the Kootenay River running though it. River Valley Ranch is an old world mixed farm applying bio-dynamic farming practices to the individual and the whole. The farm and household are off-grid and run on alternative energy. We are open for the 2025 season! The Ucluelet Aquarium is a collect-and-release aquarium dedicated to raising awareness and respect for the local ocean environment.

Castlegar Sculpturewalk is an annual exhibition of outdoor sculptures, located on a pleasant walking tour in downtown Castlegar. Viewers are encouraged to vote for their favourite sculpture via ballot - the winner of the People's Choice award is purchased by the City for the permanent collections. All of the artworks are available for sale or lease. Ballots/maps are located in red ballot boxes along the route (the start of the route is at the Kootenay Market (635 Columbia Avenue), though you can begin the walk from anywhere. Ballots/maps are also available at the Castlegar Chamber of Commerce, City Hall, or the Kootenay Gallery.
