Founded in 1987, Central Mountain Air (9M) is a Canadian regional airline with operating bases at Calgary International Airport (YYC), Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Smithers Regional Airport (YYD). It flies to 15 destinations within Alberta and British Columbia. Central Mountain Air has a fleet of 20 aircraft: Three Dornier 328-100 planes that each hold 30 passengers, three Bombardier Dash 8 100 planes that each hold 37 travelers, and 14 Beechcraft 1900D planes that hold 18 passengers each. Higgin's Inn is a spacious well planned facility close to the most popular beach in Powell River. The suites are large former apartments, beautifully appointed, and fully equipped for short or long-term accommodation. Each suite has a full kitchen, dining room, living room private bath and one, two or three bedrooms. We also have our newest addition: A ground-floor accessibility suite with special features in the kitchen and bathroom to make our guests with mobility challenges extra comfortable. This year round resort is located approx. 1 hour south of Vanderhoof in Finger/Tatuk Provincial Park. The resort offers 7 modern cabins, with one being wheelchair friendly, complimenting the accessible dock area and lift. In addition, there are 10 campsites with a large grassy area, overlooking the creek where grizzly bears can sometimes be spotted in the fall: fishing for spawning kokanee. Wonderfully serene and with great fishing; this is the perfect location for families to get-away, undisturbed, from the outside world.

Facilities: 7 small rustic campsites, hand water pump, pit toilets. Location: 6 km north of Oliver on Highway 97. Inkaneep Provincial Park is nestled in tall riverside cottonwoods in a residential area. This park offers wonderful bird watching opportunities. Park users should use caution when hiking around this park; poison ivy is abundant in this area. The park is conveniently located just outside of the town of Oliver. Open from the last weekend in June through Labour Day.

This is done primarily at the Railway Museum of British Columbia (formerly the West Coast Railway Heritage Park) in Squamish, BC, where the collection of 95 heritage railway locomotives and cars are exhibited in a typical small community setting.
