Distinguished by our individuality, Great Northerns exclusive boutiqueness offers a smaller, more personalized backcountry skiing alternative. By choice, we operate only one state-of-the art passenger snowcat, with just one group of 16 skiers per week. Our signature service from friendly and professional reservation, mountain and lodge staff guarantees our guests' comforts and well-being are first and foremost. With 45 square miles of pristine terrain and over 600 inches of snow annually, Great Northern skiers experience a truly unique sense of intimacy and adventure in the heart of the majestic Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia.
Adventure Domes
The Adventure Domes consist of four unique dome cottages located in the heart of the West Kootenay, a short walk from the shores of pristine Slocan Lake. Each unit is self-contained, has relaxing curved interior spaces, a boutique decor and its own patio area with landscaped gardens. Set in the village of New Denver, the Domes are within walking distance of all village amenities: the network of hiking and cycling trails, kayak and board rentals, cafes, boutiques, galleries, museums and food stores. The property has beautiful views of the Valhalla and Selkirk Mountain Ranges; is central to three provincial parks and is located on two scenic loop drives. The Adventure Domes provide a friendly base from which to get out of the box and explore the historic West Kootenay region.

Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars
Blue Mountain is an estate dedicated to producing complex wines, consistent in style and quality from year to year. Located at south end of the valley with 31 hectares of vines planted, the property supplied grapes to other wineries for 21 years before the Mavety family founded the winery in 1991. In addition to Pinot Noir, the 12,000-case yearly production consists of Gamay Noir, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and a méthode traditionnel sparkling wine, all from estate grown grapes.

Ray’s Sport Fishing Charters
We fish out of Tahsis inlet were we have the option of going out Nootka Sound or Esperenza sound. I have been fishing the west coast from Kenai, Alaska to Victoria, BC since 1978. The fishing in this area is the best all around fishing bar none on the west coast. The salmon highway that we regularly fish is known by every guide on the west coast. Salmon, Halibut and bottom fish.
