It is the perfect stop for relaxing in the quite country side, with over 50 fully serviced sites, easy access pull through's for the big rigs, laundry, showers, wifi, a sani dump, and a central covered gazebo for group gatherings.

Whispering Spruce is a beautifully treed and shaded campground with many desirable features such as free wifi, childrens playground and firepits at each site. We are in the heart of Kicking Horse Country and are conveniently located a short distance to the east of Golden on the Trans Canada highway.

We are located within a 5 to 10 minute walk of Shawnigan Lake School, Mason's Beach, Shawnigan Lake Village and an old train railway that leads to the Government Wharf Beach and Old Mill Park Beach. The guesthouse is nestled amidst trees and shrubs providing a natural country atmosphere. Wildlife, especially deer are often seen on the property. Our rooms and suite each have a private entrance with a balcony or patio and a sitting area in the spring and summer months to enjoy.

The Union Club of British Columbia began in 1879 and the current establishment was completed in 1913. It is one of the National Historic Sites of Canada. Situated across from Victoria Harbor, the Club is in the heart of the tourist, shopping and business districts. As an overnight guest at the Inn at the Union Club, you are welcome to use all of the Clubs facilities which include our Business Centre, Billiard Room, Library, Reading Room and during the summer season our Roof Top Patio. The Trans-Canada Trail runs by just a couple of hundred yards away, through the Red Barn Lodge property. Snowshoes are available to guests.The lodge is well situated in 13 acres of private grounds. Operated by the Similkameen Country Development Association, a local non-profit, the Similkameen Visitor Centre provides tourism services for the South Similkameen. Stop by and enjoy our picnic area. We have free WIFI, handicap accessible washrooms, a baby change table, electric charging stations and much more. Please be advised that we've switched from our former location to a temporary location within the Similkameen Recreation Centre.
