Our story goes back a long way. Over a hundred years and five generations in fact. From running cattle to fruit growing, our family's experience and love for agriculture has remained strong. This forested campground offers a sunny creek-side setting for campers of all kinds, with more trees and privacy on the north end in the first-come, first-served section and sunnier pull-through sites on the south end in the reservable section. Forest Rose Campground has 30 campsites that can be booked in advance, as well as 26 campsites in the first-come, first-served section. It features a playground, and a washroom building with flush toilets, potable water, and coin-operated showers. Bear-proof garbage and recycling bins are offered in central locations throughout the campground. All campsites are equipped with a wheelchair-accessible picnic table and campfire ring. Firewood is available for an additional fee of $10 per day. Campsites are an average of 55 feet long and 13 feet wide and can accommodate most trailers and RVs. Forest Rose Campground is located off of the Bowron Lake Road, along the east side of Williams Creek and a stone's throw from the Barkerville Highway. It's 2 km north of the Barkerville Visitor Centre. Guests can travel back and forth from the Historic Zone to Forest Rose via the highway, or cross the highway on foot to access a well-groomed walking path. Forest Rose Campground is part of the 1,100-hectare property that forms Barkerville Historic Town & Park and is managed by Barkerville Heritage Trust.

While at Sointula Lodge, guests stay in one of our 12 guest rooms, which are either original Cedar cabins or small log cabins built with Vancouver Island Douglas Fir trees. All of our cabins are furnished to feel like a home away from home. Most rooms have two beds in each room and all cabins have a private bath. Comfortable beds are adorned with down comforters and cotton sheets. Cabin extras include cozy robes, Canadian bath amenities, daily room service and turn down services, outdoor seating and ocean views. Fishing Package: Our calm, protected waters offer one of the most unique saltwater fishing experiences on the British Columbia Coast. All five species of pacific salmon, as well as halibut, lingcod, and other bottom fish can be caught just minutes from our dock. Our 4-day and 5-day all-inclusive fishing packages offer access to remote coastal fishing grounds, premium fish processing, luxury accommodations and dining, wine and spirits. Fish each day with a fully-certified, experienced guide equipped with top-of-the-line rods, reels, and gear. Wilderness Package: When booking a wildlife package, youre booking a customizable wilderness escape by private boat. We are located in one of the most concentrated areas of marine wildlife in the world: The Broughton Archipelago. Our experienced guides will take you through the stunning landscape by comfortable, 27ft cabin enclosed, heated vessels to see Humpback, Orca and Minke whales, Pacific White-Sided Dolphins and porpoises, seals, stellar sea-lions, sea-otters, bald eagles, and if youre lucky, elusive populations of coastal wolves and cougars. As we cruise nearby beaches, grizzlies and black bears can be seen feeding along the shoreline, and you cant help but become immersed in the rugged beauty of coastal British Columbia.
