Welcome to the Roedde family's home. Gustav and Matilda Roedde settled in Vancouver in 1888. Gustav opened the first bookbinding business in Vancouver and by 1893 moved into their new house in the West End. Roedde House is attributed to famed architect Francis Rattenbury and is a City of Vancouver-designated Class A Heritage House. Since 1980, the Roedde House Preservation Society has taken painstaking care to renovate and furnish the house to reflect the ambience of late Victorian family life. Come in and experience life in the late 19th century for yourself!

Coastal Rainforest Safaris delivers exciting wilderness experiences by Rigid Hull Inflatable boats amongst the diverse wildlife of British Columbias Great Bear Rainforest. Departing from Port Hardy, we offer guests an immersive nature experience told from a unique, Indigenous perspective that explores our connection to the land, sea, wildlife, and the history that makes the area what it is now.

Relaxation seeps into your body as you ease into the largest NATURAL hot springs pools in Canada. Liard River Hot Springs is a river of hot water that provides relief to Alaskan bound travellers after a long day on the road. The hot springs complex is of national ecological significance and is well known for its natural setting in a lush boreal spruce forest. The park is such a popular stop over for tourists that the campgound fills up early each day during the summer months. Liard is also open year-round. There is a hot spring open to the public with water temperatures ranging from 42° C to 52° C. Facilities include a change house and composting toilet. A boardwalk, which leads to the hot spring pools(A natural river of hot water), passes through a warm water swamp and boreal forest that supports rich and diverse plant communities as well as mammal and bird species.

Hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:00pm- 5:00pm (Closed Holidays). Admission by donation (Adults $5, Kids FREE). The Gallery is a wonderful destination for anyone looking for an experience of contemporary Canadian art by some of our countrys most celebrated artists. Our guides live to fish and make every fishing trip a memorable experience. You'll leave the dock in the good care of a great guide with years of fishing our local waters. The fishing areas near Campbell River are protected from the ocean swell of the west coast of the island and are home to five species of salmon as well as bottom fish. The scenery, wild life, and fresh air are exhilarating and a perfect backdrop for a perfect fishing charter. You are welcome to bring any food and drinks you would like to enjoy on the boat. You will need a fishing licence with salmon stamp which can be purchased at our local tackle shop or purchased and printed from any computer if you search "Canadian tidal fishing licence" the site will come up. We are happy to fish groups of any size and have experience arranging fishing for corporate charters. Four on the boat is maximum, two or three are best .
