Sink or Swim Scuba Inc is a PADI 5 star certified scuba dive shop located in Nanaimo, BC. Vancouver Island is rated top 10 for cold water diving, and we are grateful to dive all year round. As a shop, we love helping people explore our waters through scuba diving, and snorkeling. We offer courses, guided dives, as well as equipment sales, servicing, and rental.

At Whistler's retail "The Shops" at the Westin, Fathom Stone Art Gallery has expanded offering stone art classes daily for locals and visitors. Classes include the 1 hour pendant, 1-2 & 3 hour inukshuk, 3 hour 2-D wildlife, 4 to 6 hour 3-D bear, or 6+ hour freestyle classes. Class participants come and go as they please making their art at their own pace. You get to take home your completed soapstone carving made in the heart of Whistler village. Drop in's welcome from 12 noon to 6 pm, please come see the carving live! (9AM to 10 PM upon appointment 24 hours advance notice) Just bring yourself and lunch/dinner money, take-out food locations are on the village stroll. Tofino Botanical Gardens are 12 acres of gardens, forest, and shoreline that explore the relationship between culture and nature. A network of paths and boardwalk will take you through our Cultivated Gardens, Sculpture Park, and Old-Growth Temperate Rainforest, where clearings have been transformed into a series of pocket gardens. Some of these gardens display plants that thrive in temperate rainforests around the world including Chile and Japan. Others celebrate cultural groups that have made Clayoquot Sound their home now and in the past, particularly the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations, early Japanese fishing families, and, of course, hippies. The Gardens extend to the Tofino Mudflats, an incredible expanse of intertidal mud teeming with life, revealed twice a day at low tide. Events including Tofino Winterlights, Tofino Lantern Festival, Surfrider Foundation film festival, Food and Wine,Musicians, Weddings and more are hosted within the eclectic scenery.
