The Rustic Resort

This is a beautiful spot to come relax in a rustic log cabin on the lake! This fishing resort is 1.5 hours north west of Kamloops B.C. There are 8 log cabins total and five cabins that are lakefront with private docks. This amazing little place is tucked in the wilderness, where the natural beauty is. With sixteen lakes available to guests to fish with rowboats waiting for you, everyday is an adventure. The cabins at the resort all have row boats and electric motors included with you stay. These mountain lakes all produce beautiful Kamloops rainbow trout. This is a quiet place to relax, go for a swim, paddle, walk or hike and have some fun fishing for feisty trout by fly or lure.

We are now on winter hours. Open Saturdays 10-4 and by appointment the rest of the week. The Canadian Wildlife Museum is located just minutes north of Vernon B.C. We offer an outstanding arrangement of Wildlife Displays, most of which the average person would never see in the wild. There are over 350 mounted specimens, ranging in size from mice to bison, including over 120 birds of prey and over 115 different species of Canadian wildlife. There is also a large butterfly and moth collection. There are 45 viewing stations, with over 220 different scenes of wildlife. The excellence in taxidermy workmanship and amazing artwork is not just in the mounted animals but also in the natural detailed dioramas. There is also a Gift Shop with many very unique wildlife/nature related novelties, souvenirs, and gifts.

Nechako White Sturgeon Conservation Centre

The Nechako White Sturgeon Conservation Centre hatchery program is dedicated to maintaining genetic diversity and conserving the population of the Nechako White Sturgeon. The hatchery is used to rear sturgeon eggs into one-year old sturgeon for release into the river. Research projects and programs also run out of the hatchery. Visitor Hours: Tours currently available by appointment only. Call the hatchery at 250-567-6673, email nechako@gofishbc.com or email info@nechakowhitesturgeon.org to book.There is an Community Fishing Pond stocked with rainbow trout on-site that is open for public fishing (catch-and-release only) on a drop-in basis. Free rod and tackle gear is available. Adults 16 years+ require a basic fishing licence. The Trout Fishing Pond is open May 1 October 31, dawn to dusk.

Listen to stories of Chinese and First Nations Elders at our video stations and meet the residents of the early 20th century through the remarkable portraits of CD. Hoy and C.S. Wing. Participate in scavenger hunts and hands on activities. Keep the memory of your visit alive with a souvenir from our gift shop. We have a good selection of history books, clothing, toys, jewelry and housewares. During the Winter Season ( October to April) the museum is only open on Saturday or by appointment.

Groups of 4 or more, $15/person. Go-karts! Riders must be 10 years old and 54" tall to drive a single kart. Shorter racers can ride in a double kart. $18/kart.
